Today we are publishing a letter approving SONI's proposals to meet the requirements of EU Regulation 2017/2196 Emergency Restoration (NC ER). The Network Code Emergency Restoration (NC ER) sets up an electricity network code with the aim of safeguarding the security of the electricity system.
On 19 December 2018 we received SONI Emergency Restoration (NC ER) proposals to meet the requirements of Articles 4(2)(a)-(f). On 1 October 2019, we published a request for amendment to these proposals.
SONI has subsequently resubmitted their proposals to us. We have reviewed these proposals in line with the requirements of the NC ER regulation, the wider objectives of Regulation (EC) 2017/2196 and our statutory duties and obligations. We are satisfied that SONI’s proposals have addressed the amendments we requested.
