Consultation published on changes to the Domestic Marketing Code of Practice

Today we are publishing a consultation paper to seek stakeholder views on our proposal to now allow suppliers to use annual bill or annual cost quotations with consumers in the domestic Marketing Code of Practice for energy suppliers.

A number of stakeholders have previously expressed the view that this aspect of the domestic code of practice should be reviewed. As the market has evolved since 2014 and competition has developed significantly, we are now seeking responses to the questions set out in the consultation paper to inform our overall review of this matter.

We are not proposing to make any changes to the Marketing Code for small business customers at this time.

Further information on the consultation paper and how to respond can be found in our consultation section
