This document sets out our final decision following publication of and receipt of two non-confidential responses to a minded-to decision (published on 5 December 2023) on a request for changes to: (i) Condition 25 of the SONI TSO licence and (ii) various standard connection and use of system documents used by SONI. The responses are included as Appendix 3 and Appendix 4 in the Decision Paper.
The changes were requested to facilitate a connection to the Northern Ireland transmission system in respect of generation taking place in the Republic of Ireland.
The Decision involves discussion of what has been called the “cross-border framework” for connections, as reflected in Condition 27 of the SONI TSO licence.
Copies of all documents will be made available in large print, Braille, audio cassette and a variety of relevant minority languages if required.
