NIAER Announces the Outcome of the First Iteration of Moyle Interconnector Auction of Capacity

The System Operator Northern Ireland (SONI), in the presence of an Ofreg representative, conducted the first iteration of the Moyle interconnector auction on Wednesday 8 December 2004.

Four products were on offer, namely:

1 year Moyle import – 40MW
2 year Moyle import – 20MW
3 year Moyle import – 20MW
1 year Moyle export – 80MW

No bids were received from any of the products. Therefore in the second iteration, to be held on Wednesday 15 December, the following products will be auctioned:

1 year Moyle import – 80MW
2 year Moyle import – 40MW
3 year Moyle import – 40MW
1 year Moyle export – 80MW
