NEW ARRANGEMENTS FOR ENERGY AUTHORITY
Douglas McIldoon, completed his term as full time Chairman of NIAER on 13 September 2005. The Minister (Angela Smith) announced last week that she had asked Mr McIldoon to continue in post as part time Chairman for a period up to 31 March 2006.
It has been decided that during this period NIAER’s Accounting Officer will be Dermot MacCann, currently its Chief Economist.
The Members and staff of the Authority wish to express our appreciation of the work that Douglas has carried out in protecting the interests of customers over the last decade and are pleased that he will continue to guide us over the coming months.
