SONI is the independent Transmission System Operator (TSO) for Northern Ireland (NI). We periodically undertake TSO price controls which give SONI, as a monopoly provider, enough revenue to carry out its functions efficiently for the benefit of NI consumers.
Today we publish our approach consultation for the Northern Ireland TSO 2020 to 2025. This document sets outs our proposed approach framework, expectations for SONI in delivering its business plan, and how we will assess SONI’s business plan.
