Launch of SEMO Price Control Consultation
The Utility Regualator and the Commission for Energy Regulation, the Regulatory Authorities (RAs), have today published consultation proposals on the revenue that SEMO (Single Electricity Market Operator) should be allowed to recover from the market operator’s charges over the period October 2010 – September 2013, to cover their costs as Wholesale Energy Market Operator.
This consultation paper includes proposals on the form of SEMO regulation, the allowed revenue for SEMO and all associated tariffs. Comments are invited from industry and the public by 17.00 Friday 3 September 2010, as detailed in Section 16. A decision paper on this issue is due to be published by the RAs in late September 2010.
In addition, the RAs are publishing SEMO’s submission on required revenue for the next price control period.
