Today the Utility Regulator publishes the Decision under Article 14(8) of the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 to modify the Power NI Energy Ltd’s electricity supply licence. This follows a 28 day consultation for the Notice of licence modifications published on 11 October 2018. The UR received one response from CCNI which did not require any change to the modification.
The effect of the modifications will be to alter the amount of revenue that Power NI can recover in its regulated tariffs from domestic electricity customers. The reason for these modifications is to allow for an extension to the current Power NI supply price control to cover the period from 1 April 2019 – 31 March 2021.
