SONI is the independent Transmission System Operator (TSO) for Northern Ireland (NI). We periodically undertake TSO price controls which give SONI, as a monopoly provider, enough revenue to carry out its functions efficiently for the benefit of NI consumers.
Today we publish our Final Approach for the Price Control for Northern Ireland TSO 2020-2025. This document sets outs our approach framework, our expectations for SONI in delivering its business plan, and how we will assess SONI’s business plan for the 2020-2025 price control period.
The Final approach follows a consultation, which was published on the 14th December 2018 to which we received five responses.
