Summary
The electricity transmission system operator in Northern Ireland (SONI) has proposed a modification to the Northern Ireland grid code. The modification will introduce a minimum Rate of Change of Frequency (RoCoF) requirement. This will have the effect of helping to facilitate a greater penetration of renewable generation on the Northern Ireland grid.
