The Utility Regulator and the Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) are today publishing a document as part of the Common Arrangements for Gas (CAG) project. This is a discussion paper on the CAG operational regimeand outlines a number of options that may deliver a harmonised approach to gas transportation in the two jurisdictions.

This is a discussion paper on the CAG operational regime and outlines a number of options that may deliver a harmonised approach to gas transportation in the two jurisdictions.

Comments on the operational regime discussion document are welcome and should be submitted to Roisin McLaughlin (roisin.mclaughlin@niaur.gov.uk) or Jill Murray (jmurray@cer.ie) before close of business on 2nd July 2008. As part of the discussion process on the operational regime, the regulatory authorities are hosting a one day workshop on the 6th of June at 11a.m. in the Radisson Hotel, Cork airport. Interested parties are welcome to attend. Please send notification of your attendence to Jill Murray (jmurray@cer.ie).

As an addendum to the publication of these documents, please refer to the memorandum of understanding signed by the Commission and the Utility Regulator on the 14th February 2008, which outlines the high level principles of the CAG project.
