Summary

The Utility Regulator today publishes a consultation on proposed modifications to gas and electricity supply licences necessary to reflect market experience, process updates and legislative changes. The proposed changes affect the gas and electricity supply licences, the electricity distribution licence and the gas conveyance licences (distribution and transmission).

The majority of the changes outlined in this consultation represent a clean-up of licences and do not require a system or process change and will therefore have minimal impact on licence holders.  The consultation does include some modifications that seek to enhance existing consumer protection conditions, however consumers will see no direct changes to their services as a result of these modifications.

Copies of the document can be made available in large print, Braille, audio cassette and a variety of relevant minority languages if required.
