Short-term exit capacity products for gas transmission could provide increased flexibility to gas-fired power generators to back up renewable generation and meet peak demand periods.
Following an analysis of impacts, risks and cost allocations, we are seeking views on the merits of introducing these products into the gas market.
We welcome responses to the questions raised and information on any further matters that should be considered.
In addition to the consultation paper, we are publishing a simplified tariff model which allows users visibility of the calculations used in our scenario analysis, as well as the ability to model further scenarios using their own inputs.
We plan to hold a stakeholder information session on Thursday 4 May 2023 from 10am to 11am via Microsoft Teams. Please contact email@example.com to register.
Copies of all documents can be made available in large print, Braille, audio cassette and a variety of minority languages if required.
