In accordance with Article 14(8) of the Electricity (NI) Order 1992 and Article 14(8) of the Gas (NI) Order 1996 we have published decisions on the licence modifications which give effect to the proposals laid out in our ‘Improving the Non-domestic Consumer Experience’ position paper.
The effect of the proposed modifications will be to modify the regulatory framework to enhance protections for small business consumers. The modifications will implement measures in relation to publication of transparent price information, security deposit requirements and deemed contract notice periods.
The modifications will take effect on 4 February 2026.
