NIAER publishes its Resource Accounts covering the period 1 April 2004 to 31 March 2005

These accounts have been prepared on a resource basis for the Northern Ireland Authority for Energy Regulation. Resource Accounts provide a great deal more information about NIAER and its activities and promotes the principles of openness, transparency and accountability.

Resource accounting introduced a more commercial style, which reflects the costs of resources used whether or not they have been paid for in the financial year.

The Resource Accounts give a more complete picture of the resources that NIAER used and provide much more information including a balance sheet showing all its assets.

The Accounts contain an audit certificate from the Comptroller and Auditor General who may also append a report to explain the reason for any audit qualification, or to report on other issues of public interest. NIAER accounts received an unqualified audit certificate.

The accounts are available on this website or from The Stationery Office (price £10.10).
