The Evaluative Performance Framework (EPF), part of SONI’s 2020 to 2027 price control, provides an evaluation of the organisation’s Annual Forward Plans and performance.
Through it, we build a comprehensive picture of SONI’s performance based on the knowledge and experience of a wide range of consumers, industry parties and experts.
Our independent panel of experts will soon review SONI’s Annual Performance Report for 2024/2025 against a set of evaluation criteria.
The panel will consider all relevant evidence and the views of industry stakeholders.
Written feedback from stakeholders
To inform this process, we would encourage you to provide feedback on SONI’s Annual Performance Report 2024/2025 by 12:00 on Friday 06 February 2026.
Written feedback can be submitted to Ruairi Liddy:
ruairi.liddy@uregni.gov.uk and cc price_controls@uregni.gov.uk
We plan to publish the written feedback we receive, along with our own feedback, and share it with the panel as part of the process (unless otherwise requested).
Assessment of the Annual Performance Report 2024/2025
Following the February stakeholder meeting, the panel will conduct their assessment of SONI’s Annual Performance Report 2024/2025 (taking all evidence into account). We will then publish a report detailing the panel’s assessment and their recommendation to us.
We will then make our determination on SONI’s performance by the end of April 2026.
This determination will include the calculation of a financial reward or penalty using the method set out in the Evaluative Performance Framework Guidance document. This will bring the EPF year 2024/2025 to its conclusion.
Continuation of EPF Year 2025/2026
SONI’s current EPF Year (2025/2026) will continue with the publication of the organisation’s Mid-Year Update Report for 2025/2026.
The publication date for this report is scheduled for the end of April 2026. Further updates will be provided in terms of SONI’s Mid-Year Update for 2025/2026 in due course.
