Utility Regulator decision to grant an Electricity Generation Licence to Mullavilly Energy Ltd: Battery Storage

On 10 July 2020 the Utility Regulator gave notice (the Notice) that it proposed to grant an electricity generation licence to Mullavilly Energy Ltd (MEL), with a copy of the form of licence proposed to be granted published alongside the Notice.  MEL intends to operate a grid connected battery energy storage system (BESS) at Tandragee, County Armagh.

Following consideration of all relevant material received in the period following publication of the Notice, the Utility Regulator has decided to grant - and has, on 23 October 2020, granted - an electricity generation licence to MEL in the form of the licence published alongside the Notice. The licence is granted pursuant to the provisions of Article 10(1) of the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992.  A copy of the licence is published alongside our decision.
