The Utility Regulator welcomes the announcement by the Department of Finance and Personnel that Dr Bill Emery has been appointed Chair of the Utility Regulator board from 1 July 2012.
Shane Lynch, Chief Executive of the Utility Regulator said:
“We are delighted to welcome Dr Bill Emery as Chair of the Utility Regulator board. I look forward to working with Dr Emery and continuing to build on the strong legacy that our outgoing Chair, Professor Peter Matthews, has left.
“I wish to record my thanks and gratitude to Professor Matthews as he steps down as Chair after six years. The organisation has benefitted greatly from his leadership. Both I and the organisation wish him well.”
