Consultation on revising our Enforcement Procedure and Financial Penalties Policy

We are today publishing a consultation on revisions to our Enforcement Procedure and Financial Penalties Policy.

The consultation paper has three annexes:

Annex 1 contains the revised Enforcement Policy Approach and Procedure 

Annex 2 contains a flow chart summarizing the new procedure

Annex 3 contains the revised Financial Penalties Policy

The purpose of the Enforcement Procedure is to let people know what to expect if they find themselves being investigated or having enforcement action taken against them. The Financial Penalties Policy is required by statute and covers both whether to impose a financial penalty and a process for determining the amount of the penalty.
