The Utility Regulator has published a Final Determination in respect of a billing dispute referred to us by a non-domestic consumer of electricity.
The dispute concerned charges for electricity supplied by Power NI Energy Limited trading as Power NI, and involved the Back Billing requirements set out in Condition 38A of the electricity supply licence held by Power NI (and all other licenses held by suppliers of electricity in Northern Ireland).
The Final Determination is our first determination of a billing dispute concerning the Back Billing requirements.
Included at the end of the published document is a section of closing observations that might be of interest to those interested in the potential application of the Back Billing requirements.
