Anthony Pygram

Board member

Anthony Pygram has 20 years’ experience in regulation, covering competition, energy, water, payment systems, accountancy and legal services. 

He spent nine years at Great Britain's energy regulator, Ofgem, latterly as Director of Conduct and Enforcement. He has also worked in senior roles at the Competition Commission (now part of the Competition and Markets Authority) and the Payment Systems Regulator. 

As a non-executive, Anthony chairs committees making recommendations on proposed changes to codes governing the operation of the non-household water market for England and Wales, and aspects of the GB electricity market. He is a member of the Committee on Fuel Poverty and the Retrofit System Reform Advisory Panel. 

In addition, Anthony is Lay Vice President on the Board of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal, and hears cases as a panel member.
