Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2195 establishing a guideline on electricity balancing (EBGL) creates a number of requirements on Regulatory Authorities across Europe to review and approve a range of proposals submitted by TSOs.
One such proposal comprises the rules for the common settlement of unintended exchanges of energy between synchronous areas which was submitted in accordance with Article 51(2) of the EBGL.
As per the concerned Regulatory Authorities’ agreement reached on 4 December 2019 and attached as an annex below, the Utility Regulator has published its decision to approve this proposal.
