Job description

There’s never been a better time to join us. We regulate the electricity, gas and water industries, worth billions of pounds, in Northern Ireland and we’re changing how we do communications. We are looking for an energetic and motivated self-starter to help make the change happen and deliver our new Communications Strategy. 

This role presents an opportunity for you to make a real impact, using your digital communications expertise to help us transform how we communicate to consumers and a diverse range of stakeholders.

As a key member of the communications team, you will work across the organisation to drive the digital communications agenda. You will use your digital communications skills and knowledge to enhance and upscale digital communications across the organisation. This will include harnessing your expertise to provide engaging communications materials and expanding the range of visual content. You will also work to enhance and upscale the digital communications capability of the Single Electricity Market Committee which is the decision making body for the cross border wholesale electricity market.

Working as part of a small communications team you will also have the opportunity to work on other areas of communications as required. This will include working with colleagues on public relations initiatives, events and internal communications.

This role is well suited to persons with excellent digital communications skills and knowhow, graphic design experience and complemented by practical experience of upscaling organisational online capability and outputs. Other communications skills would be an advantage. Knowledge of the public sector context within which we work would also be useful.

This appointment is based in Belfast.

Assessment/Interviews are expected to take place fortnight commencing 10 May 2021.
