The SEM Committee has published guidance for Transmission System Operators (TSOs) in Northern Ireland seeking certification under European Union legislation introduced to promote the further development of the internal market across the European Union.
TSOs are required under EC Directive 2009/72/EC, which has been transposed into Northern Ireland law in The Gas and Electricity (Internal Markets) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2011, to be certified and this guidance sets out the means by which this can be achieved.
The Guidance document SEM-11-103 gives a period of eight weeks to submit applications and has been published on the All Island Project web site.
