We have published our latest newsletter which provides an update on our work during July.
It has been a busy and productive month as we continued to deliver on our core projects, whilst engaging with our valued stakeholders.
In early July, our Chief Executive, John French, was pleased to attend the Clean Power 2030 Summits in London.
This month has also seen us join the British Irish Chamber of Commerce. We look forward to engaging with the Chamber and its members, as we work to protect the interests of consumers of electricity, gas and water across Northern Ireland.
Throughout July, we’ve published several important documents. These include:
Our Improving the Non-domestic Consumer Experience’ Position Paper and proposed licence modifications (3 July).
Our decision on SONI’s 2023/2024 Performance and Overall Financial Incentive (3 July).
The Approach Consultation Paper for our next price control for the gas supply companies. We refer to this as SPC27. (4 July).
A decision paper on the grant of an electricity generation licence to Ballyutoag Wind Farm Ltd (8 July).
Key findings from our third Non-domestic Consumer Insight Tracker Survey (21 July), which allows us to measure and track the experiences, attitudes and behaviours of non-domestic consumers in the energy market over time.
In this edition, we’re profiling our Head of Price Controls (Gas and Water), Ciaran MacCann, and Regulatory Analyst, Conor McConnell, both of whom were instrumental in the development of the approach consultation paper for SPC27.
We are currently recruiting for a number of exciting opportunities across the organisation, including:
Regulatory Analyst (Price Controls) closing on 1 August.
Legal Advisor, closing on 4 August.
Head of Electricity Price Controls, closing on 6 August.
Administrative Officer (Legal Team), closing on 26 August.
Regulatory Manager - Price Controls (Gas Retail Lead), closing on 26 August.
Regulatory Analyst (Markets), closing on 27 August.
We would be delighted to hear any feedback you have on our newsletter and any issues you would like to see covered in future editions, via info@uregni.gov.uk.
