An information guidance paper is today published on the application process for generator classification as an emerging technology In relation to the implementation of EU Electricity Network Codes.
This process is required by the EU regulation 2016/631 "Requirements for Generators" (RfG) and facilitates exemption of emerging technologies from the RfG Code requirements.
Manufacturers of a power generating modules technology wishing to apply to be classified as an Emerging Technology in Northern Ireland should submit applications to the Utility Regulator by 17 November 2016.
