On 30 July, we published proposed modifications to the electricity transmission and distribution licences (“the licences”) held by Northern Ireland Electricity Ltd (NIE). The reason for the modifications was to reflect changes needed after the purchase of NIE Ltd by ESB in December 2010.
Following consent by NIE Ltd to the modifications, and having received no objections during the period of consultation, we are today publishing the notice that brings the modifications into force, along with the revised licences. These are available using the links below:
