The consultation paper sets out our proposal to modify Condition 40, relating to the Transmission Development Plan Northern Ireland (TDPNI), of SONIs transmission licence.
The TDPNI provides a detailed outlook of the transmission projects that SONI will undertake, along with NIE Networks, as the transmission system owner to develop the Northern Ireland electricity network infrastructure.
The proposed modification is required to align SONI’s reporting obligations for the TDPNI with EU Directive 2019/944, Article 51.
The Directive and this modification will change the reporting obligations on the TDPNI by SONI from annually to at least every two years.
We welcome industry and stakeholder views and comments on the outlined licence modifications proposals and their effect.
