The Utility Regulator regulates the electricity prices for Power NI’s domestic customers and also the gas tariff for Firmus Energy’s domestic customers in the Ten Towns area. This means that we continuously monitor the components that make up the regulated domestic tariffs and then approve any resulting change when necessary.
A formal review of the regulated domestic tariffs for both Power NI and Firmus Energy (Ten Towns) has now commenced. It is expected that the reviews will conclude shortly, with announcements to follow within the next few weeks.
