The Utility Regulator wishes to advise that SONI (the electricity system operator in Northern Ireland) has recently published a consultation paper on the options for the Supplier TUoS (transmission use of system) tariff to be applied from 1 October 2011. This is the tariff that recovers 75% of the costs associated with the transmission system (110 kV and above) from suppliers, the remaining 25% is charged to generators.
The deadline for consultation responses is 5pm on Friday 3 September 2010. Responses should be forwarded electronically to Raymond Skillen at Raymond.Skillen@soni.ltd.uk and copied to Helen Magorrian at Helen.Magorrian@Soni.ltd.uk.

SONI will collate the responses and provide a recommendation to the Utility Regulator, who will publish a decision paper in due course.
