SONI is the electricity Transmission System Operator (TSO) for Northern Ireland. The Evaluative Performance Framework (EPF), which the Utility Regulator introduced for the SONI 2020 to 2025 price control, allows for an evaluation of SONI’s performance in each financial year.
As part of our EPF process, SONI publish a mid-year performance update by the end of April and present on this at a workshop.

SONI are inviting stakeholders to the workshop where they’ll provide an update on their progress to date and discuss their report. The workshop will also provide stakeholders with the opportunity to raise questions and provide feedback directly to SONI.
The EPF independent panel also attend this workshop. The independent panel is made up of five industry experts who draw on evidence available and assess SONI on its performance in line with the EPF guidelines. The panel will only be in attendance to listen to stakeholder views and no formal assessment will be carried out at this time.
