This update note follows the Utility Regulator’s Guidance Note on the application process for generator classification as an ‘emerging technology’ which was published on 28 October 2016. The deadline for receipt of applications was 17 November 2016. This update note is to inform relevant stakeholders that no applications were received.
This application process was required by the EU regulation 2016/631 "Requirements for Generators" (RfG) to facilitate the exemption of ‘emerging technologies’ from the RfG Code requirements.
