Electricity connections review : licence modification decisions

A connections market which works well for Northern Ireland electricity consumers is essential. Getting connected easily and at a fair price is important for domestic and business consumers and generators. This should happen in way which means other network consumers only pay what is necessary for their energy.

Today we publish two licence modification decisions following our electricity connections review decision of the 31 May 2017 and subsequent statutory consultations.

More specifically, we are publishing a licence modification decision on a change in SONI’s TSO licence to reflect our new extensions framework and a new licence condition to implement a Transmission Development Plan Northern Ireland (TDPNI). The documents are published below

We are also publishing a licence modification decision on a change in NIE Network’s Distribution licence to reflect our new extensions framework and clarifying its ability to refuse to provide connection offers. The documents are published below:
