Job description
Protecting Northern Ireland’s energy and water consumers, today and tomorrow, is what we do.
This is an exciting time to join us. We are expanding as an organisation to fully support Northern Ireland in meeting the challenges of climate change, the continued cost-of-living crisis and ensuring the continuity of energy and water supplies.
Electricity, gas and water are essential services that support all homes and businesses in Northern Ireland. As an economic regulator, it is our role to enable, incentivise and hold energy and water companies to account for providing the very best levels of service and price for consumers both now and in the future.
Head of Function
This recruitment is focused on the appointment of four permanent Head of Function roles, which are senior positions and part of our organisational leadership team. The roles available are:
1. Head of Compliance and Enforcement (Gas and Water Lead).
2. Head of Flexibility and Energy Markets.
3. Head of Monitoring and Analysis.
4. Head of Gas Price Controls.
Our Heads of Function are responsible for leading multiple teams and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team in delivering our Corporate Plan and Forward Work Programmes.
The successful candidates will work closely with Directors to assist in the delivery of a high volume of quality work output, by playing a leadership role in management, planning and project delivery, alongside responsibility for relevant core business functions.
General information
Northern Ireland continues to have an under-representation of women across STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) industries. We are proud to support women in STEM. We are an equal opportunity and ‘Disability Confident’ employer. As people with a disability and people from ethnic minority communities are currently under-represented in our workforce, we would welcome applications from these groups
We offer an attractive package including a competitive starting salary with stepped increases per annum, alongside a range of other benefits including hybrid working, NI Civil Service pension arrangements and 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 days after two years) and an additional 12 public and privilege days.
