On 1 October 2015, the Utility Regulator published a consultation on modifying the exclusive area of the firmus energy (Distribution) Ltd licence to facilitate a new gas pipeline to connect the Strabane area.
We received two responses to this consultation, from the following parties:
• Firmus Energy (Distribution) Limited ; and
• SGN Natural Gas Limited
Having carefully considered the responses received, we have decided to proceed with the licence modification we had consulted on.
The Utility Regulator therefore publishes today its decision and notice on modifying the exclusive area of the firmus energy (Distribution) Ltd licence to facilitate a new gas pipeline to connect the Strabane area. The decision paper sets out the responses received and the effect of the modification.
The licence modification will take effect on 4 February 2016.
