Today the Utility Regulator publishes a decision under Article 14(2) of the Electricity (NI) Order 1992. We also publish a decision under Article 14(2) of the Gas (NI) Order 1996. This decision follows on from our previous consultation.
These documents outline the licence modifications resulting from the ‘Back billing in the NI Retail Energy Market’ project.
The effect of the modifications will be to implement a 13 month limit on energy back bills. The modifications take effect as of 1 October 2020.
