Decision on treatment of non-domestic electricity customers with multiple premises

The Utility Regulator is today publishing the decision paper on regulatory treatment of non-domestic eletricity customers with multiple premises using more than 150MWh per year.  This follows a consultation in November 2012.

This decision means that Power NI may offer a non price regulated supply offering to customers with multiple premises which, in aggregate, use more than 150MWh. This is consistent with the treatment of customers with a single premises which consumes more than 150MWh per year. Previously, Power NI could only offer the regulated tariff to each individual site that consumed less than 150MWh per year even if it was part of a group that in aggregate used above that threshold.
