Board member
Mr Alex Wiseman became a board member of the Utility Regulator in November 2015. Alex has over twenty years’ experience in utility regulation and strategy. He was Regulation Director at a UK gas network and prior to that Head of Strategic Planning at an electricity and water utility. Alex has non-executive director experience at a large NHS Foundation Trust as well as at xoserve, the organisation responsible for managing UK gas data and meter point administration, and also within the not-for-profit sector. Alex has an MBA and is a qualified management accountant. For the last six years, Alex has been an independent consultant completing interim assignments for Regulators and Government as well as numerous consultancy projects across gas, water and electricity both in the UK and in Europe.
