NIE Networks publish consultation on Distribution Loss Adjustment Factors

NIE Networks recently published a consultation on their proposed amendments to the calculation of Northern Ireland’s Distribution Loss Adjustment Factors (DLAFs).

Distribution losses are when the amount of energy delivered to the distribution network to supply customers is greater than the amount of energy metered at customer premises. These loses are then apportioned to customer metered demand and generators via a calculation known as DLAFs. Changes to this calculation will impact electricity demand customers and generators in Northern Ireland.

The consultation outlining the proposed changes is available here.

NIE Networks is holding a workshop to discuss their proposals at 10am on Thursday 8 March. Further details about the workshop and responding to their consultation are provided in the paper. If you have any queries in relation to this consultation paper, please contact NIE Networks directly using the details provided in the consultation paper.
